ORNA is open to all Nurses interested in the perioperative environment. It consists of highly professional and skilled Members providing the service of excellence and expertise to its customers.

ORNA as a professional body was established in 1969 and is affiliated with ACORN - the Australian College of Operating Room Nurses.

The philosophy of ORNA is to keep its Members up-to-date on changes occurring in the Operating Room environment, especially regarding technology and standards.

The Objectives are:

To promote and enhance the Nursing profession. To promote and support Perioperative Nurses as the professional body of choiceIt provides a professional environment for Nurses to meet, exchange ideas and facilitate gaining of knowledge. It provides grants and scholarships to various individuals and institutions to ensure that all Members have the opportunity to gain local, national and international knowledge.
The Organisation aims to meet all Member's needs in the different areas of specialties. Members are invited to attend Meetings and Education Sessions. Full Members are entitled to apply for educational grants from ORNA and ACORN.
The key to performance is in a strong leadership. This is a strong and organised Association.

The Benefits

With over 300 members, ORNA is Western Australia's only professional perioperative body which supports, promotes the scrub/scout, anaesthetic, recovery and management nurse roles and interests.

As a member you are invited to participate in issues in the field and inconjunction with our sister associations around Australia headed by ACORN, guide the future of the profession.

Members only education sessions are held over the year and all members are entitles to discounts for other sessions including our annual conference.

The Cost

Membership of ORNA consists of the following membership options - Full Member/Associate Member/Honorary Member.  Members are invited to attend Meetings and Education Sessions. Full Members are entitled to apply for educational grants from ORNA and ACORN.  Annual Subscription is $90.00, tax deductable.

CURRENT MEMBERS
Membership subscriptions are reviewed annually. Current Members will have a Renewal Form posted during their renewal month.
